The Arp City Council has voted to transition the city from a General Law Type C city to a General Law Type A city, thereby opening up seats for three new council members to be elected during a Special Election to be held November 3rd, 2026. If you are interested in becoming an Arp City Council Member, you can obtain an application at City Hall between July 18th and August 17th or click the link below.  Deadline to submit the application is August 17th, 2026 at 5:00 PM at Arp City Hall 109 W. Longview Street.
